Ever wondered how boat builders and designers calculate and test a new models stability?
Well here you can see one of a number of stringent inspections ... an offset load test where the boat in static condition is loaded with up to 950 kgs , the equivalent of 10 people plus equipment on either side to measure the angle of heel. The results are then calculated and analysed in a stability booklet produced for the boat to ensure the boat meets the requirements of RCD & RCR Category B
